Mission Statement:
The mission of the Creek County Literacy Program is to provide cost-free reading instruction to functionally illiterate adults residing in Creek County, to encourage families to become involved in the education process of their children, to tutor at-risk children/youth, and to provide reading enrichment programs.

Programs:

bullet Cost-free, one-on-one basic literacy tutoring services for adults and children. 
bulletAdult basic education and GED preparatory classes. 
bulletAfter-school tutoring for children. 
bulletAdult learning, designed to improve family and workplace literacy skills. 
bulletOne-on-one tutoring programs. 
bulletFirst Book National Chapter, a program designed for book ownership for disadvantaged children and youth. 
bulletCaring Grands – a classroom reading enrichment program for children K-2nd. 
bulletFamily Fun Night - a time for families to get together, eat a light meal, read books and make crafts. Reservations are required. (Third Thursday of every month.) 
bulletShow & Tales - an after school program for 3rd - 6th graders. Art and drama are incorporated in the reading curriculum. Enrollment is required.
