Vision
Statement: The vision of
the Creek County Literacy Program is to eliminate illiteracy in Creek
County by providing literacy services throughout the county that
encourage, educate and empower participants to improve their literacy
skills.
Mission Statement: The mission of the Creek County Literacy Program is to provide
free
reading instruction to functionally illiterate adults who live or work in
Creek County, to prepare families to manage their health care needs and to
be effectively involved in the education of their children, to tutor children/youth who
may have different learning styles, and to
provide reading improvement programs county-wide.

Adult basic education and GED prep |

Just 4 Fun, an after school
program for 3rd - 5th graders. Art and drama are incorporated in the
reading curriculum. Enrollment is required. | |

Computer and workplace
literacy skills designed for adult learners. | |

Caring Grands, a time for
senior adults to read with children
K-2nd. | |
 |
Cost-free, one-on-one basic literacy
tutoring services for adults and children. | |

Family Health & Literacy Night, a time for families to
come together for a light meal, books, crafts and health
education. Reservations are required. | |

First Book National Chapter, a program designed for book ownership for
underprivileged children and youth. | |

Guarding Angels mentoring
